Morbark Designs Better with Solid Edge
The wood processing machinery maker moved from 2D to 3D design with Solid Edge (Siemens PLM Software), and gets in the national spotlight too. Solid Edge software was the only system capable of modeling all of Morbark’s parts. The company cited Solid Edge’s dual level support as best in the industry. Solid Edge also played a key role with Morbark’s participation in the “Extreme Machines” segment on the former Discovery Channel TV series called Monster Garage. "Production tells us the machines are going together much better and we have fewer design changes. Not having to go back and tweak drawings saves a lot of time," said Doug Jones, production draftier at Morbark.
