By the numbers, the company achieved a five times faster design process and performed bench tests in one day with simulation versus over two weeks via its prior process. “FEA allows us to save money during the design process, and save iterations at the prototype step. We can reduce four to five physical prototypes down to just one, shaving the design cycle by months," said Alexander Laprise, an engineer at GEA.
